Quad-County Healthcare Coalition
About Healthcare Preparedness
The Healthcare Preparedness Program helps hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare providers work together with local and state health departments and emergency managers. These groups plan and practice before, during, and after disasters so they can respond quickly and support each other.
By working as a team, they make sure the healthcare system can continue caring for all patients in an emergency. This includes improving communication, sharing resources, and staying ready for many types of events. The goal is to keep our community safe, healthy, and prepared.
About the Quad-County Healthcare Coalition
Our Quad-County Healthcare Coalition was created to help healthcare facilities and partner agencies work together. The goal is to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies that affect the healthcare system and the patients in our region. The Coalition works to:
- Build strong relationships and reduce barriers between agencies that serve the healthcare system in Carson City, Douglas County, Lyon County, and Storey County.
- Address problems that make it hard for people in our community to get quality healthcare.
- Share information, best practices, and lessons learned among healthcare organizations and their partners.
Together, we strengthen our region’s ability to protect health and provide care during emergencies.
