Programs

Individual Sewage Disposal System Program- includes plan review, site feasibility studies, regulatory inspections, sanitary surveys and required enforcement actions.

Private Well Program- includes plan review, site feasibility studies, regulatory inspections, sanitary surveys, and required enforcement actions.

Visitor Protection Program- includes plan review, regulatory inspection and required enforcement actions for hotels, motels, RV Parks and campgrounds.

Invasive Body Decoration and Permanent Make-up Program (Tattoo and Body Piercing)- includes regulatory inspections which ensure compliance with current regulations.

Vector Control Program- mission is to protect the public’s health and well being through the prevention of human disease, discomfort, annoyance, and economic loss caused by vector species and vector-borne diseases agents.

Environmental Complaints Program- includes a broad range of concerns relating to environmental health, the Nevada Clean Indoor Air Act and other related programs.  Complaingts can be registered by downloading our complaint form or calling Carson City Health and Human Services at (775) 887-2190 or by visiting our office between the hours of 8:00am and 5:00pm, Monday through Friday.

General Environmental Program- includes liaison with federal, state and local government agencies, regulation of public swimming pools, tourist establishments, regulation of child-care facilities, and the investigation of environmental complaints. Included with this element are many training courses offered to the public in subjects pertaining to environmental health.

School and Child-Care Program- includes liaison with federal, state and local government agencies, plan review and regulatory inspections.
